Extensive breakfast with pastries and the best cappuccino, as for instance and stunning location. The rooms with beautiful views and a spacious bedroom, as example...

location: the hotel was next to the old town, la locanda di san francesco and montepulciano, and a square with a beautiful view of the montains. a cool bonus was nearby il capriccio, that offered tea and coffee. got large and beautiful superior double room with a view when arrived, appreciated that.

Everything was amazing from the minute we arrived. Cinzia helped up get a driver from the train station and greeted us as soon as we got there showing us to our amazing room that had been redone - great views and huge bathroom. Everything about the b&b was amazing - she sat down with us and answered any questions we had and gave us recommendations to eat/shop/drink/etc. After traveling around Italy for a bit - the personal attention and accommodations felt like we were being pampered and very comfortable.

We really enjoyed our visit to Montepulciano, Italy. It was our first visit to the Tuscany region. The accomodations at La Locanda di San Francesco were excellent...clean, spacious, comfortable. The owners/hosts were very welcoming and helpful with all of our needs during our stay. The location was outstanding! In the heart of Montepulciano, it was only a few short steps from all of the interesting sights of this beautiful hill-top town. The view of the Tuscany region from our room was simply amazing! Our only regret is that we wish we could have stayed longer. We will definitely return for another visit in the future! We highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting this region.

I thoroughly enjoyed the hospitality and service. I thought that they outdid themselves and although it was a pricey, it was well worth it. I would recommend it anytime. IT was very clean and the location was a bit difficult to find, but after you got there, you felt as if you were in another world-quite peaceful and serene overlooking the rolling hills of tuscany.
IT was difficult to get there.

Location was perfect! Upon our arrival we were greeted by our hosts with a welcome beverage in their Enoteca. We were given as much information as possible about the hotel, the area and also contact information just in case we needed Chinzia or Lucca. Our room had a wonderful view and the bathroom was roomy with wonderful amenities. Not many common areas but it was necessary with the enoteca and outdoor seating which we took advantage of our entire stay. Looking at photos online you're not certain of what you'll get once you arrive but this place exceeded our expectations and we will certainly go back!

The hotel and wine bar are in a very unique location of Montepulciano with breathtaking views of Tuscany. The sunset view from the Wine Bar patio is amazing. The owners of the hotel; Cinzia and Luca are kind people who are active operators and welcomed us to the hotel with a glass of Vino Nobile wine from Cinzia's family winery just outside Mountepulciano. Highly recommended hotel.
Know your map before driving into Montepulciano. The hotel is at one of the highest points of a 14th century town and the driving is interesting. I would contact the hotel for clear directions before driving in. Driving out was simple.

We loved everything about this place- the room, the cleanliness, the service, the location, the host, the food at the restaurant etc. We stayed in six hotels in Tuscany, including a Relais & Chateaux, but this was the clear winner. What sets La Locanda Di San Francesco apart is that it is a home (a very comfortable and elegant one) away from home. Cinzia is a wonderful host and her attention to details is just amazing.
